E.N. Harshman papers, 1936-1974.

The E.N. Harshman papers contain two reports for Nelson & Company, Inc. : "Examination of Property of the New Territories Mining Co., Inc., Hong Kong, China" (1936) and "Report on the Geology of the Property of the Tinago Consolidated Mines, Inc., Tinago Cove, Mashbate, Philippines" (1936-1937). The rest of the papers are about exploring for uranium in Wyoming, especially the Shirley Basin Area, for the U.S. Geological Survey. There is correspondence (1958-1974), photographs of Heart Butte, Montana (1961), slides of uranium sites in Wyoming and probable sites in Montana and Utah (1960-1974). There are files containing reports, correspondence, memoranda and maps concerning work at uranium drilling sites in the Wind River Range, Wyoming (1960s-1974). There are also water analysis charts and x-ray results of uranium ore samples. (1960s-1970s).

E.N. Harshman was a geologist. In the 1930s he worked for Nelson & Company, Inc. inspecting mines in the Philippines and in the New Territories, Hong Kong. He worked for the U.S. Geological Survey, Branch of Radioactive Materials from the 1940s to the 1970s.
